Say goodbye to manual calculation errors! Input the power supply voltage (V1/V2), input signal (Vp/Vn), and resistor network value. You will see the output op amp gain ratio and voltage results in real time. Support inverting/non-inverting amplifier configuration, an essential tool for engineers, debugging & students' experiments!
Tip: For inverting amplifier configuration, set Vp = 0. For non-inverting configuration, set Vn = 0.
This calculator uses the standard operational amplifier equations:
Output Voltage: Vout = (1 + R2/R1) × (R4/(R3+R4)) × Vp - (R2/R1) × Vn
Inverting Gain: Av_inv = - (R2/R1)
Non-inverting Gain: Av_non_inv = (1 + R2/R1) × (R4/(R3+R4))
This tool is made for inverting op amp design. It automatically calculates the best values for resistors R2, R3, and R4 in an inverting op amp circuit. All results are expressed in kilo-ohms (kΩ). Before you start, just enter the amplifier's gain, R1 (kΩ), desired Vout, VP, V2, and Vn. Then, let the calculator do the rest.

The inverting op amp setup uses an op amp. Its output moves in the opposite direction of its input. This creates a 180° phase shift. It is one of the simplest and most versatile amplifier circuits. It needs only a few resistors and the op amp. This makes it essential for many analog electronics uses.
You need to give the positive and negative power supply voltages (V1, V2). Also, provide the non-inverting input voltage (Vp) and the inverting input voltage (Vn). Lastly, include the resistance values of resistors R1, R2, R3, and R4.
> Vout = (1 + R2/R1) × (R4 / (R3 + R4)) × Vp – (R2 / R1) × Vn
After the calculation is done, the result will be limited to V2 ≤ Vout ≤ V1. This simulates the real power supply limit on the output.
